Odds & Ends (including Valentines Day)

  Hello!  

It sure feels like spring ahead here, especially with the tulips sitting on our kitchen counter that I bought for Valentines Day. I just love the pink color!

I ordered some wedding pictures and can't wait to put them up when we get our new bedroom furniture.

We ordered heart shaped donuts for the work crew from Basset Street Brunch Club.

I have been saying for awhile we should do a puzzle together.  So Jeff surprised me with a 2000 puzzle for Valentines Day and we have been working on it every night this week (well more Jeff than me!)

Has any watched Imposters on Bravo? I normally don't watch their scripted shows, but I recorded it and watched the first 2 episodes over the weekend. I think I like it? I will definitely watch at least a few more episodes.

Oh speaking of TV, did you see Britney Ever After over the weekend? Yikes! 

Weekend Time

Hello! Jeff only had to work half-a-day on Friday so I decided to take the afternoon off as well. We had a lunch date at our favorite Mexican restaurant.

After our lunch we ran a few errands. We picked up new glasses for Jeff (We had such a great experience at Target's eye center) and then we had a tire appointment. It was nice to knock off some of these errands during the day.

On Saturday we went grocery shopping at Woodmans with the rest of Madison.

It was such a nice day on Saturday we also moved our patio furniture from our deck to to the garage to store for the winter.

Jeff jimmied this contraption to make sure all the cushions are dry.

I also tried this new recipe for Sunday dinner.

lt is probably the best recipe I have made for homemade mac & cheese.

Labor Day Weekend

Happy Labor Day! We stayed in Madison the entire Labor Day weekend which was nice because we have been so busy lately.  I looked through my phone and I only took 1 picture on my phone the whole weekend.

I think because of Snapchat, I haven't taken as many pictures lately. I need to make a better job of either saving my snapchats or taking pictures before I snapchat. Oh social media!

We did a big grocery shopping run on Saturday, golfed on Sunday, and did some things around the house on Monday.

Week Recap

Hello there! Hooray, It is that time of the year again. I have been loving watching the Olympics this past week. 

I took the day off work on Monday to play in the Father/Daughter golf tournament. 

Dad & I didn't play the best, but had fun. It was nice to golf instead of being at work!

My co-worker and I tried out the new bakery that opened up on State Street. I thought the donuts were just okay- didn't blow me away.

On Saturday, we went to our nephew's 12th birthday party.

I guess Alex doesn't like Steph Curry because that was his birthday cake request. Isn't that a clever cake?!

We also during the week stopped at Nevada Bob's to test out new drivers for Jeff. He bought this one.

I love our new grill. We have been making burgers and grilling corn on the cob a lot lately.

I also tried to bake a cake.

Up North Weekend

Hello! I can't believe we are in the last week in July. This month has flown by! We spent last weekend in Eagle River with our college crew.

The weather was just perfect. We spent Saturday boating and Sunday golfing 9 holes before driving back. It was a quick trip but a blast!

 

WEEKEND

 I only took 3 pictures on my phone this weekend so this will be a pretty short post.

We got up SUPER EARLY on Saturday morning and played 18 holes before the summer sizzle. We finished before 10 am- it was awesome because no one was in front of us so we cruised along.

I made veggie pizza.

And we finally ate at Pasqual's. We weren't that impressed so I don't know if we will go back.

BUSY WEEKEND

Happy June! 

I have had a busy few days.  Friday afternoon the Party Planning Committee at work (yours truly is a part of that committee) coordinated a Pontoon going away party for my co-worker who is leaving. It ending up being a perfect day outside!

My boss even jumped in the water with her clothes on!

Friday night we went and saw the movie 'Me Before You'. I have been waiting over a year for this movie to come out! 

I guess I am behind the times because I had no idea you pick your seats now at the theaters  We even got there extra early to make sure we got good seats since it was opening day.  The first two rows were the only seats available, so we had to sit super close and wait around awhile till the show started.  At least now we know for next time how the movies work. Ha! Anyways it was my first time being at the movies with the recliner seats & boy was it nice!

I'm curious what the opinions of the movie will be. I thought the book was better, but I did enjoy the movie.

Saturday morning we woke up and decided to play 18 holes. It was rainy at the beginning but cleared up after a few holes. I think that scared people away because we had the course to ourselves and we cruised through.

Sunday we met Jeff's family at Hi-Way Harry's in Johnson Creek to celebrate the spring/summer birthdays.
