WHERE THE LIGHT GETS IN

I'm so excited to finally share my review of Where the Light Gets In by Kimberly Williams-Paisley.
I registered for Blogging for Books awhile ago, but never saw any books I quite liked. However when I saw this book, I instantly requested it because I recognized the author's name.
One of my favorite movies is Father of the Bride and I always wanted a tent wedding after seeing that movie. The bride in the movie is played by actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley (I also watched her on the first season of Nashville).

Right after I received it in the mail, I saw a clip about the book on Entertainment Tonight and Reese Witherspoon just instagrammed it so I knew I picked a winner.

The book is about Kimberly's mother & her struggle with dementia. The book starts with her diagnosis (at age 62) and then through today. It was a fast read and so heartbreaking.  I read it one sitting and had no idea how it would end.  She talks about how it affected her family & friends - including her father and siblings.  She also writes about what she would have done differently right after the diagnosis.  It seems she regretted a few things. I give her a lot of credit for writing this book.

*Blogging for Books sent me this book in exchange for an honest review*
