Book It!

Did I mention that my New Year's Resolution is to read 30 books in 2016. Hopefully I can do a book report each month here on the blog.

Fangirl: I enjoyed the characters and main story, but I skipped all the Carry On fanfiction parts. I really liked Eleanor & Park and want to read Attachments next by Rainbow Rowell. 3.75 stars

Ugly Love: After reading November 9 in one day, I just had to read more by author Colleen Hoover. She might be one of my favorite author so far.  I read the whole darn thing in one sitting! It reminded me slightly of 50 Shades. Oh and apparently the guy below is playing the guy in the movie- which I did not picture as Miles Archer at all. 5 stars

My Life Next Door:  It is YA romance about a girl named Samantha from an upperclass family who falls in love with Jase, the buy next door from "the wrong side of the tracks".  Just ok in my opinion, I think I would have liked it more if I was 15 years old.  3 stars

Someday, Someday, Maybe: The author is actress Lauren Graham from Parenthood (one of my favorite shows). A story of an aspiring actress, comes to NYC and given herself a deadline to "make it."  I liked it, it wasn't bad, it wasn't great, it was good.  Felt a little long, maybe.  3 stars

A Little Something Different:  Light and sweet, quick, cute and easy read. A sweet romance between two college students, told from 14 different viewpoints. I loved the cover too! 3.75 stars

Walking Disaster: This is the second book in the series and basically it is the exact same story as Beautiful Disaster but from a different point of view.  4 stars

A Beautiful Wedding: This is the 3rd book in the series and is under 150 pages. I would recommend reading all three books right after one another. 4 stars

The Heir and the Spare: Cute YA book. Similar concept to Royal We (but Royal We was definitely better) 3 stars

Attachments: A cute idea for a story and I was intrigued to read, but I thought this book was very slow at times however I did like the ending!  3.75 stars

Slammed Series: LOVED each book in this series by Colleen Hoover.  It is such a beautiful story.  I originally thought there was 3 books to this story, but there is really only 2 books and the 3rd book is retelling the first book in a different POV. Make sense? Anyway all are good and highly recommend! 5 stars

What books have you read recently and loved?!

  1. I've read Attachments and I have Fangirl on my list of books to read which is so long, lol!

I recently read a great book called The Bridge by Karen Kingsbury. Last holiday season, they made it into a Hallmark movie which is how I first found out about the book.

    1. I think I actually watched that movie during the holidays. Isn't there a Part II movie coming out? I will have to put it on TBR list!
